SMS / Text Message Opt-In & Consent
Last updated: September 2, 2026
CollisionPulseIQ is a collision repair management platform used by repair facilities to manage repair orders and keep their customers informed. This page explains how a customer opts in to receive text (SMS) messages about their vehicle repair, and shows the exact consent disclosure they agree to.
Who receives messages
Only the vehicle owner whose vehicle is being repaired at a participating collision facility. Messages are transactional and repair-related. If the repair facility enables it, one further message may invite a customer to leave a public review after they respond to the post-delivery satisfaction survey; it carries STOP instructions and is never sent to anyone who has opted out. We do not run bulk marketing or promotional campaigns, and consent is collected per repair order.
How customers opt in
Opt-in is collected in person at the repair facility at the time the customer drops off their vehicle and authorizes the repair:
- The customer's mobile number is recorded on the repair order when the vehicle is dropped off, and is printed on the Repair Authorization form in the Vehicle owner block at the top, where the customer can confirm or correct it before signing.
- The customer reviews and signs the facility's Repair Authorization & Direction to Pay form, which includes the Text Message Communication Consent disclosure shown below.
- The customer's signature on that form is their express written consent to receive repair-related text messages.
Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of any repair, service, or purchase. The customer may decline texts and still have their vehicle repaired.
The exact consent the customer agrees to
Below is the Text Message Communication Consent section and both checkboxes from the Repair Authorization & Direction to Pay form the customer signs. On a live form the repair facility's own name appears in place of “my repair facility”. You can also view the complete blank form (sample) to see this consent in full context.
The consent section as the customer receives it — before they check the box and sign. The customer name and phone number are taken from the repair order and printed on this form at vehicle drop-off. View the complete sample form →
Screenshot of the actual signing screen
The Repair Authorization form is generated per repair order, so it is reachable only by the customer at the facility or through a private one-time link — it has no public URL. The screenshot below is that screen exactly as a customer sees it, captured from the live software using sample data rather than a real customer's information.
Both checkboxes are empty as delivered. The Submit signature button is greyed out because the required repair-authorization box has not been checked; the optional text-message box has no effect on it, which is how consent is kept separate from service.
